Lets Go On A Road Trip

A full tank of gas, coffee in the cup holder, and a 6 hour drive ahead of us. It’s road trip time!

Let me first of all start off with Green Day. My friend has been an obsessive fan since before she was born. So the first 3 hours of the drive we listened to like 3 Green Day albums, cause you know “We’re going to their concert it’s acceptable!” Which was fine even though I’m not a fanatic. I did it for her. Casey….I did it for you, remember that!

Pit Stop To Timeline Saloon & BBQ

I love stopping here cause the food is great and inexpensive. Plus they have a little zoo! I’ve only been here one other time with my family and when I saw it on the side of the road I was like “Guys we’re stopping there.” I’m pretty sure they loved it.

Oh Oh Concert Time

We’ve made it to our hotel…after we had to cancel the other hotel reservations. Apparently you have to be 21 to reserve a room at the Hyatt Regency. We didn’t know! And literally right when we walked through the doors I said “Guys we’re not fancy enough for this place.” Turns out we totally weren’t, lolz. It all ended up better than we had even planned cause we stayed at the Hyatt Place for an even cheaper price. It was just as nice so we were super happy about that.

Oh oh now the concert. Green Day was so good. Casey cried….a lot. But I can’t blame her cause she’s been waiting to see them for forever. The best part about it was the fact that nobody was really on their phones. It was just a big group of people enjoying the music together and forgetting all of life’s problems. It was really refreshing to see.

You want to see a selfie? No? Oh well here it is.

Exploring Everything But The Mall

Our plan: Wake up at 6 a.m. to do some exploring then go to Mall of America. Make it home at roughly 6/7 p.m.

What happened: Woke up at 7:30 a.m. Got too carried away exploring. Went to the mall. Got hangry. And made it home at 9:30 p.m.

Nothing really goes as planned, though our plan was more of a rough draft. We were kinda just going with it. Those are the best times I think. The unplanned ones. You live more in the moment instead of worrying and looking towards the future.

Oh and here’s a tip… If there’s one thing I’ve taken notice of on this trip it’s that public restrooms are rare. So if you’re out and about and you see one, use it. Or just go in your hotel room before you leave.

Boardwalk Near Raspberry Island, MN

I’m just gonna mention that I’m laughing at Casey’s photographer pose. It was magnificent to say the least.

A Fun Lil Vacation

Thank you St. Paul for being so great. I can honestly say St. Paul, MN is one of my favorite places to visit. Almost every concert I attend is in this wonderful city. I’ve been here about 4 times now and every time I go I find something new and exciting. Definitely consider visiting if you haven’t yet. My tip for you is to go out and visit some local shops. Have fun exploring and always make sure you have an exit buddy. Stay safe, stay street, stay alive.
